Two Lawsuits Filed Against Same Toledo Police Officer | Toledo, Ohio wrongful death lawyer

With two incidents that occured 6 weeks apart leaving one dead and another seriously injured, the Charles Boyk Law Offices have filed against Toledo Police Officer Diane Chandler.

The first case involved Officer Chandler and Linda Hicks. The adult home had called the police out for an incident that happened and as a result the 62 year old schizophrenic woman was fatally shot.

The defendants in this case are the City of Toledo for violation of civil rights and wrongful death, the Toledo Police Department for violation of civil rights and wrongful death, Officer Diane Chandler, in her individual capacity for violation of civil rights, gross negligence, assault, battery and wrongful death, and Marria’s Adult Family Home for negligence and wrongful death.

The second involved Ms. Chandler and the passenger of a stolen vehicle, Nathaniel Lewis. Mr. Lewis was struck by Ms. Chandler’s police cruiser after he exited the vehicle.

The defendants in this case are the City of Toledo for violation of civil rights, the Toledo Police Department for violation of civil rights, and Officer Diane Chandler, in her individual capacity for violation of civil rights, gross negligence, assault and battery.
