Some of the treatment errors were things like excessive bleeding after surgery and UTI’s, but in some cases death occured.

The estimation is that about 15,000 deaths a month are in direct relation to the mistakes made by doctors and nurses and the number of deaths per year is estimated at about 180,000. The American Hospital Association says that this number must be reduced and that they are committed to lowering it.

November 3rd, 2010 Author: Anneke

The widower of an 81 year old woman is suing Comcast, the telephone company.

Last Thanksgiving Sidell Reiner was making dinner while her husband went to the airport to pick their grandchildren. Mrs Reiner dropped a wine glass on her foot causing a severe cut. She called the operator, but the dispatchers could not find her address. She called back several times for help before crews arrived seventeen minutes later.

When the fire and rescue crews showed up to her house she had lost so much blood she was unable to answer the door. Since she did not answer the door the rescue crews left. They did not even look through the windows because if they had they would have seen Mrs. Reiner on the floor right in front of a large window pane.

When her husband, Seymour Reiner, got home he found his wife dead on the floor. She died from a severed artery in her foot. Along with Comcast MR. Reiner plans to sue the city of Boynton Beach, which is the district that Comcast transferred the call.
