A lawsuit has been filed after a pedestrian bridge collapsed in the Atlanta Botanicals Gardens killing one of the workers helping to build the bridge. The lawsuit is filed against the attraction and several contruction companies and states that the companies failed to protect the workers.

Angel Chupin worked for a subcontractor that poured concrete foundations. The incident happened when they were working on a pedestrain bridge about 40 feet above ground when the path crumbled. Workers fell to the ground from a few dozen feet up. In total 18 workers were injured because of this and 1 was killed. The probable cause of the incident was that two support towers were placed too far away from each other. Osha fined the compaines for other safety violations as well.

These companies have a responsibility to keep the job site and their workers safe. When this does not happen people get hurt and even killed. If this happens a lawsuit should be filed.
