One Person Was Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident
19-year old Dairon Perez was driving in a 1999 Isuzu truck when he lost control of his car and hit the center concrete divider after his rear tire blew out. His car stopped sideways in the northbound lanes of the Interstate.
The driver of a 2002 Mitsubishi sedan, whose name was not released, changed lanes in an attempt to avoid hitting Perez and hit the left side of a 2006 Dodge Charger driven by 26-year-old Anderson Regis. The Mitsubishi was then hit by a 2002 Ford pickup truck, driven by John William Tiernan.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers in the Mitsubishi 48-year-old Claudia Beatriz Segura Cadena 50-year-old Hernan Jimenez, were seriously injured and transported to Delray Community Hospital.
20-year-old Merlin Moreno Silva, the passenger in the Isuzu and Perez were seriously injured and transported Bethesda Memorial Hospital. Regis was also injured and Tiernan was not reportedly injured.
Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal accident.
