Man dies from grease fire | Toledo Ohio Wrongful Death Lawyer
56-year-old Fred Wyatt Jr, died on the way to the hospital from smoke inhalation while trying to put out a grease fire Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Firefighters responded to the call at 4:30 p.m. When they arrived the firefighters were able to put out the small fire with a portable fire extinguisher.
There was one other adult male and two small children at the scene that they were OK, but Wyatt — who was hooked up to an oxygen bottle — looked as though he was struggling to breathe.
When the paramedics attempted to move Wyatt off the porch to take him to the hospital, he collapsed. Paramedics administered CPR to him on the way to Erlanger hospital, but Wyatt did not survive.
It was confirmed by Hamilton County Medical Examiner Dr. Frank King that Wyatt died of smoke inhalation.
