A Rozzi worker was severely burned in the face after a malfunction in the smokestacks at Great American Ball Park.
Fans heard the fireworks go off during the eighth inning of the game Sunday afternoon, for no reason, a worker inside the stacks was working on them when something exploded.
“The fireworks just went off and we had no idea why,” says Steve Stoll.
“Everyone was talking about it, saying what they saw. We weren’t able to go back to our seats at the time being,” says witness Jessica Kramer.
No word on what caused the explosion or how serious the workers injuries were.
