On Tuesday December 7, 2010 a man was walking down a street on the far east side of Columbus. Police say that the victim, 23 year old George Canfield was walking along Broad St. at 4:15 am. He was struck by a pickup truck driven by 57 year old Dennis Lowe.

Canfield was taken from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital. He died at 8:00 am there at the hospital. Mr. Lowe was not injured from the accident.
