The family of Joey Pinasco recently were granted a $2 million lawsuit against the police department.

Joey was killed on August 24, 2008. According to the reports he was street racing. When the officers approached his vehicle he led them on a chase. His vehicle spun out of control and got stuck near a ditch. When his car moved forward police unloaded their guns on Mr. Pinasco and his car. He was 21.

The lawsuit stated that the officers overreacted. They were not threatened and chose to fire against an unarmed man who posed no danger to them.
