19-year-old Joshua M. Brown has been charged with first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder and using a firearm during a felony in the death of 12-year-old Kade’jah Hampton’s death. His mother, 35-year-old Heather Brown was charged with being an accessory.

According to reports, she drove him to Kade’jah’s home.

Shots were fired through the door of their home after an argument with Joshua about a phone.

Hampton was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound. She passed away shortly after.
